The open-core design provides a strong foundation for the media, preventing any restrictions in flow. The anti-microbial end caps stop the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew while supporting the media. Additionally, banded pleats maximize flow during operation, making them easier to clean and reducing the frequency of cleaning for extended life cycles
