The Waterway 400-5971B is a PVC half union designed specifically for use with the Waterway SVL56 High-Flow Pump. This pump union has two connections: one on the pump side measuring 2 1/2 inches in diameter, and another connecting to 2-inch inner diameter plumbing using a slip connection. It is suitable for any application requiring a pump-union connection with two different-sized connections. The first plumbing connection has a female buttress thread (fbt) or slip (s) connection and the second plumbing connection also has a fbt or s connection. This ensures that the union is securely fastened at both ends and will not come loose while in use.
